Information for the course "Business Modeling: Creating and Capturing Value"

Please keep in mind that the course will only be offered during the Summer Semester.

Registration:

Registration for the course can be done through LSF. The registration period typically runs from early to mid-February to March 23, 2026.

Please note that you can only register for the lecture. Seminar time slots will be assigned to you. If you have compelling reasons for preferring specific time slots, please contact startwithbm@som.lmu.de. Be sure to include your name, student ID number, preferred time slots, campus email address, and your reasons. We will do our best to accommodate your requests, but we cannot guarantee we will be able to.

Attendance

Attendance for Kick-Off Events and Closing Events is mandatory. In the subsequent exercises, you or your team members will give a presentation on your work on a regular basis, which therefore requires attendance.

Due to the high level of interactivity and the necessary cooperation, attendance for all course events is strongly recommended and expected.

If you are unable to attend the seminar kick-off for serious reasons, please contact your instructor (instructors are expected to be appointed in March).

Team composition:

You will be working in a team of four. The teams will be randomly assigned.

Collaboration with Startups:

The Startup with which you will collaborate during the course will be assigned to you.

Grading:

You will receive relevant information about grading at the kick-off events.
